Kambi says Euro 2016 will increase second screen betting

Premium sportsbook provider Kambi says the upcoming European Championships in France will be the first major football tournament where second screen betting becomes the primary way to place a wager.

An analysis of data from the sportsbook provider also shows that the higher the profile of an event, the more likely it is that users will place a bet on a mobile device while watching the action.

For the biggest sporting events, around 65% of bets wagered through Kambi's market-leading sportsbook come from mobile, compared to 45% for smaller events.

Kambi is gearing up for its busiest international football tournament to date, having recently signed and integrated three new operators in the last four months; LeoVegas, Mr Green, Rank Group and at the same time enabled some of our existing operators to operate in Italy, Germany and Romania.

Kambi is able to integrate with new operators in as little as six weeks. Additionally, Kambi's new HTML5 client, which is being rolled out to all operators, empowers them to create a unique player experience.

Kambi CEO Kristian Nylén commented: "As with all football fans, we cannot wait for the big kick-off in France on Friday. It is sure to be an action-packed tournament on the pitch, but also off the pitch at Kambi where we are expecting a busy summer.
